Rothbury is a rural village in the northeast of Northumberland and its origins can be traced back to the 11th century. It is locally known as the 'Capital of the Coquetdale' and the Gateway to the National Parks, it is the perfect base to explore the surrounding countryside, golfing, bird watching, cycling, walking, swimming and fishing. Fishing permits can be easily acquired locally and an 18 hole golf course is just up the road. The village has a tennis courts, bowls, football and a play park.

Deveron has three bedrooms, two double and one twin, a large bathroom with separate shower cubicle, the second toilet is downstairs. The lounge is comfortably furnished and has a plasma TV with Sky and a DVD player, it also has a CD player with a radio, books and games, along with Free Wi-Fi internet access. The large well-equipped kitchen/diner has a cooker with ceramic hob, dishwasher, integrated fridge with small freezer compartment, a standard fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer, a travel cot, highchair and stairgates.

There is a lawned area in front of the property where you can sit and watch the river go by. The car parking area has space for 2-3 cars in front of the house.

There are several quaint tea rooms, pubs, shops and Italian, Chinese, Indian and English restaurants all within easy walking distance.

The Northumberland coast has many golden sandy beaches and the nearest is about 20 miles away. There are also many castles, forts and cup and rings dotted all around the area.
